This is certainly one of the best performance by MU, having conceded 2 rather sloppy goals in the 1st half after scoring one as early as the 5th minute they let Milan gain control of the game. the injury hit defence is really struggling to get hold of the Italian strike force, especially the irresistible Kaka, 2 chance 2 goals. going 2-1 down on 1st half at home is bad news and United came out for the 2nd half looking as though they might just lye down and let the Italian walk away with a win. Then 15min into it and they found the composure and patience, and thats when all the deadly flowing football that has been their trademark all season long came, one touch passing changing from side to side, from Ronaldo to Giggs they tried to run at the Italians, Scholes and Carrick eyeing opening from the middle and Fletcher providing cover and the occasional penetrating run. On the 59th min, after a few neat one touch short pass just outside the penalty box, the ball found the feet of Paul Scholes, one sublime chip, found the feet of Rooney, one shot, found the inside of the net.

Then United keep pressing and pressing and forced a few fantastic safe out of Dida, and then it looked like it will end in a draw, en a few fans were seen starting to leave.
